I  don't cook with aluminum foil anymore, and I don't much like plastic heated next to food, but I might modify the sauce.

I wanted to try these on the Foreman Grill, but something was not working right.  By the time I realized no cooking was getting done, it was getting into evening time, so I put the ribs in the over, and made an alternate meal of steak and eggs.
I cooked them on 400 for quite a while, then on 350 for a while longer.
I put a bit of the salute 21 seasoning on as a dry rub with pepper and garlic powder.
They were tasty, but tough, so I decided to give them some time in the slow cooker.  I put water on the brownings and made a gravy, poured that in the slow cooker as well to add flavor and help with getting them a bit tender.
I'm thinking that the slow cooker will do pretty much what Guzik does in the over step.  I could not make the sauce.  Orange juice and soy are not on my diet and hot peppers are not to Elizabeth's liking.  But she tasted the slight amount of salute 21 hot,  so that is all I used.

CHRIS NACHO CHEESE

Hi Dew. The blender is called blendtec. The recipe is from their website actually .
Calls for
8 oz water
1 tbsp lemon
1/4 cup raw almonds
1/4 cup raw cashews
1/4 cup nutritional yeast
1 tsp onion powder
They say 1 tsp salt but I just add a little paprikabedore blending and then add ground red chili powder to half of it for myself.
Hope you like the spice a lot. I sent you three bottles. Figures that would be what you remember.

FISH BATTERS

I ended up not liking the egg recipes
I used just milk and almond flour.
It was good, but not crispy.

Perhaps I'll try just egg whites.

ROMERTOPF CHICKEN

I don't think I'll do this again soon.  It did not seem to produce a meal that was any different than the Instapot, and it was not as good.

a dozen thin sliced breasts of chicken
French cut green beans
Carrots
Spiced were garlic, pepper, and smoked Paprika
Put in a cold over.  Set it to 480 and cook about a half hour

Fun to try the old technique, but I think it is past its due.

CHANA DAL IN INSTAPOT

MAY 9 2029

I overcooked the Chana Dal today.  5 cups seemed to call for a lot of water.  Too much.  Cooking time of 12 minutes was good long especially since I let the steam escape over time.  Clearly, however, no soaking is needed in the Instapot.  These were well cooked.

I read through recipes, but chose the wrong advice.

Here is what I did before in the Instapot.  It is very close to what I did this time.  Perhaps I just put in too much water.

Chana Dal in instapot

2 cup water
a few cloves of garlic chopped
black pepper
turmeric
2 cups chana dal. ( no soaking needed)

cook manual for 12 minutes.  Let stand until all the steam releases itself.

Worked great.

Same, but let all the steam come off at the end.
The beans came out a bit crunchy.  I like them, but I'll add a bit more water next time.  Spices were turmeric, black pepper, paprika, tarragon.
no Benson's this time.  No ginger.  Dribbled a bit of worchestershire sauce over the finished product after dishing it up.
